Iโ€™ve been using VSCode for a while already and even spent some time writing a custom extension, but I kept being tempted to either write a fully custom tool or use an existing tool such as ๐Ÿชจ Obsidian or Notion.

The main reason for deciding on VSCode is because itโ€™s a good middle ground between a powerful extensible tool while still having very close control. This is especially useful if I want to go further than just pure text and add dynamic content through JavaScript.
