You are in control

This applies both to work and to personal life. At work, I usually feel like there is a lot of pressure and expectations. Similarly, Iโ€™m worried about expectations from people around me. What should I do with my life or who should I be? Very often, Iโ€™m creating pressure and expectations myself. โ€˜Take a step backโ€™ and check yourself from time to time. You have more control over your life than you think.

Be bored

Itโ€™s not so much about literally being bored but more about avoiding constant stimulation and โ€˜cheapโ€™ dopamine hits. A lack of stimulation usually makes me motivated to focus on things I consider important in life.

Stay true to yourself

If you consider something important, give it the importance you think it deserves. Be open to changing your opinion, but donโ€™t do something just because others expect it from you. Stay true to yourself, it is what makes you you and it should be considered a strength.

Maximise happiness

In the end, the only thing that matters is being happy. The ultimate goal is sustainable happiness, which I consider to be avoiding extreme highs (and lows) and considering the happiness of the people around you.
